Yves Bissouma

Probably an outlier opinion here, but id actually promote him back over Pahlinha for the second half of the season. I think our ball retention and transitioning would be improved significantly by that

Not dependable, against a guy that is 100% dependable/predictable.

I'd argue for selling Biss & Bentancur, keeping Palhinha as a rotation option and senior head, suited for certain games or closing out games (kind of how we use Danso) and bringing in an upgrade in CM to all of them.

Gets my vote, i read some where that Palhinha has got more tackes then any player in the Prem.

Most tackles in the whole of Europe, nonetheless!

If only need we had an elite passer to play alongside him.

Yet people here want to keep him as an "option" and Frank has started benching him. We have prayed the last few years for someone to take the load off of our defence and now that we have him it's like mehh... Palhinha is not the one responsible for our build up play, he needs to recover the ball. That is his JOB and he does it very well. If you want to blame someone for our lackluster build up play, blame the other 2 CMs, our wingers and in a slighter way the LB and RB.

As for Bissouma he is just to lazy for the PL, same as Udogie imo. Had big hopes for both of them but it won't work out for neither imo. So glad we kept Spence so we have a decent option at LB, even thought that isn't his preferred position.

I'll second Finney - I don't know what game you are watching but Udogie is far from lazy - and I would say Bissouma is too emotional/distracted rather than lazy.

Destiny if he can get fit (he's at that horrible phase where one injury brings on another - happens to a few players every year at this stage of their career) then he can be a serious force. He does however need competition and we need two left footed left backs - Djed is excellent but the shape goes wrong when he plays that side.

Watch them coming back after we lose the ball after we try to go on the counter. I mean REALLY watch them. Udogie is the last of the defenders to regroup and not taking that final sprint unless he thinks he REALLY has to and sometimes too late. Same with Bissouma, although it is not as clear with him because of his position not being crucial. Once you see them, you can't unsee it, especially with Udogie.

are you sure that is lazy play or someone who is trying to get fit and failing due to a succession of injuries?

Data on players is everywhere, so if there was an issue with tracking back it would be on the radar immediately. The idea that we can spot something a player is doing that the manager / coaching staff isn't aware of is unlikely.

Nothing to do with injuries. The manager has spot it, that is why he moved Djed from RB to LB and Udogie is his bench substitute. Udogie should have the easiest first 11 spot with no competition for his position, along with Vicario. Somehow another player, that plays another position manages to get in front of him. Postecoglou took a blind eye because Destiny had a good offensive contribution and worked with his system. Udogie is a liability defensively and I will die on this hill.
