Yang Min-Hyeok

Only if he is premiership standard.... which is highly debatable

He can’t leave on loan due to the international commitment and he has no transfer value at this point. So it makes sense for him to be a squad player making the bench of cup games and if there is another injury crisis before we look at a loan on Jan.

Doesn't that answer your question???
On the face of it yes but it’s not always that simple.

A possible explanation could be Frank found the special formula with existing players and didn’t want to mess with it, which judging by results was a good decision. Maybe he wanted a traditional winger getting to the byline and Yang is more suited to cutting inside, or vice versa? Both were Championship teams playing against Championship opponents 🤷‍♂️

With him, Solomon and Takai we've signed some real duds in the 21-25 age group. Ones that are miles away from ever being good enough. I don't know if they were signed for financial (flog the merch in those markets) rather than footballing, reasons, or if we just scouted really badly. But it feels like we are much better focusing on the 16-20 age groups like Vuskovic and Bergvall

Yang is 20…

Sometimes I genuinely question if our scouting department just uses Football Manager for their data and just sign up any of the “wonderkids” they can.

Go position by position through this list picking out our players, and this list including Hyeok and Takai.

Well were they on the list for wonderkids in the 2024 and 2025 versions when we actually signed them?

Maybe just maybe they are actually big talents - We have a fairly decent record of signing promising young players, as much as its the vogue thing to do just criticise anything to do with our recruitment department....

Signing any player is a gamble, signing a youth player is going for a long shot. So much can effect a young players development, environment, location, friends, injuries, money, relationships and luck
