I have to say that was one of the most foolish displays I have seen from the Ivory Coast; the way they were playing after drawing 1-1 you'd think it was THEY who had to win. Wtf??
Pouring forward en masse and leaving themselves exposed to the counter-attack at the back.

It reminded me of England -Romania in 200 when Phil Neville conceded THAT last-minute penalty...

Well, I guess this conforms Ivory Coast as the bottlers of Africfan football; I've read that a few times and now i see fully what is meant by that. he last two WCs they had very tough groups. For this group round exit there can be no excuses

well done Greece, can't believe the negativity, you don't get points for style in football, if that's what you want go to ballroom dancing

No style points, but people watch the World Cup as a source of entertainment and prefer teams that entertain them. Not a big shock.

Yeah, that was pretty bad, even experienced players looked like headless chickens. Tons of space to pass the ball around in as Greece were looking exhausted too.

it's all part of footballs rich tapestry though, if it wasn't for the more pragmatic teams no one would appreciate the tika taka, you need the ying and the yang

There seems to be a lot more attacking football in this World Cup than in the last one, I don't see anyone complaining about the lack of balance between the ying and the yang...

Even much maligned Greece have changed some hearts, not because people appreciate the contrast to attractive football, but seemingly because they played well?

By the way, your post would make an excellent supporting argument for Suarez and why he shouldn't be given a harsh ban. We need players like that to appreciate the players that aren't ****s.

they did play well, they deserved to go through

sorry, not seeing how that suggestion supports suarez, you still have rules to adhere to
