Ben Thatcher
Simple concept. You can pick only 4 to represent Tottenham Hotspur and their history.

Criteria
1. Nominating who in your opinion are the 4 most legendary figures in the clubs history.
2. Need to nominate at least 1 player/manager that's before your time (Unless you over 65 years old)
3. Cannot be overly personal. Example if David Howells signed your program that should not be a factor.

After some initial suggestions I will put up a poll. But here are the initial nominees.

Mine would be the following as it represents the key post war eras of the club.

Bill Nicholson - Clubs greatest ever manager but also had a successful playing career. 55 years with the club.
Danny Blanchflower - First ever captain of a double winning side and first British team to win a European trophy.
Glenn Hoddle - Came through youth team. In the conversation for the clubs greatest ever player. Multiple trophies won.
Heung min Son - Represents the modern era of the game as an international player. Europa League winning captain.

I think the correct answer is something like: Nicholson, Blanchflower, Hoddle, Kane

Personally I find it a bit odd going for anything I've not seen with my own eyes (appreciating though that's an explicit criteria). My backgarden knock-off therefore would be: Poch, Mabbutt, King, Son

Too hard!
I've only spent 5 minutes thinking about it and have changed my mind umpteen times already.
I'd say Bill Nick will always be there but then it could be any three of Greaves, Blanchflower, King, Mabbutt, Hoddle, Ginola (short lived but glorious), Bale (the best we've ever had?), Sonny, Kane, Waddle...etc.

How am I supposed to pick between that lot?!

This is the second post lately where someone has written Mabburt - is it some kind of inside joke or have I misspelled his name all these years?

Impossible to answer this question, but I’d go Billy Nick, Greaves, Hoddle, Kane

It’s hard to be fair, for me I would rule anyone out who was here less then 5 years - so that’s Gazza/Ginola/Lineker etc out.

I think then it’s about what they have done for the club while representing Era’s so:

Pre 61 - for me this comes down to Bill Nic or Jimmy Greaves, Blanchflower
62-90. - Anyone of Mabbut/Hoddle/Villa/Ardilies/Perryman would suit here
90-2010 - Ledley King is the standout but Sheringham/Mabbut in the conversation
2010+ - Bale/Son/Kane/Lloris/Super Jan

So mine would be:
Bill Nic - Longevity + player/manager + first double
Hoddle - Mr. Tottenham as far as I’m concerned
King - Loyalty/Cup Win/Just an awesome player
Kane - Hardest pick but an academy player who is ours and Englands top scorer, honorably mention to Sonny + Jans celebration pose would have looked awesome.

In the spirit of Mt Rushmore depecting the Presidents responsible for founding, expansion, development, and preservation, it should be:

Bobby Buckle
John Ripsher
Bill Nicholson
Daniel Levy

With a history of 140 odd years you can't really confine it down to 4 people.

Nicholson the only guaranteed name on everyones list.

As much as I'd like to have someone representing the modern era you can't really make an argument for anyone asides from Kane, for being our highest ever goalscorer - Son has only won the one trophy and King would be trumped by several others for longevity.

Counts against Kane that he didn’t win a trophy though. I’d have Son & Hoddle over him for that reason.
