web app ideas

Hi guys

I'm looking to get into web coding and need some ideas for a web application, I thought about doing a periodic table app that pulls info from Wikipedia but that's a bit dull.

Can anyone think of something they'd like to see as a web application, not something massive but a decent sized project for me to get my teeth into.

I realise I am opening myself up for some daft suggestions from you lot but thought I'd see what happens.
