The game was a bit slow. Stoke are a defensive side, well drilled, they are doing well in the table but lack a cutting edge.
Most of the Spurs players were "fine" but it was a LARGE step down from real football, even League 2 would be a lot faster and snappier.
I have to say LWB has looked a bit lackadaisical recently... you know when a player is really "on it" and biting into challenges and sprinting and stretching every sinew to claw his way up the pitch? Not that. Still skilful, but playing within himself, rolling it around and trying things but not showing the desire and tenacity to really drive the team on.
Not the end of the world, but a long way away from being ready for the first team, on that evidence. Not sure if he has a small injury or is suffering from Billy Big gonads Syndrome, but he seemed verrrry laid back and was taken off fairly early.
