Nope, not the likes of Danchev or Foy, but this is instead a thread listing words we can't stand and want removed from society.
I will commence proceedings with a few:
@ - ok, not admittedly a word but a reference to another user on a standard forum. Twitter users write the symbol to link to another user, to bring a post, which they might not otherwise have seen, to the user's attention. Clicking the other user's name and the @ then links another user straight to the other's account. On standard forums it offers up zero benefit. If addressing another user, either write their name only, or quote their post if linking to it.
Jel - not even a real word but a shortening of the word jealous. Lazy writing and lazy dialogue. But why are we so content in destroying language? Jel is just one example, there are many others.
I actually almost prefer elements of Shakesperian language as that posssses greater class; not the slack mouthed, reality star driven, poor language of today.
