If I were Saudi Sportswashing Machine I’d sell him too, have a massive reset and go again. We have been there and it worked when the recruitment was done right. Better to sell and buy early, as we have all found out selling the likes of Isak late late in the window and panic buying wissa doesn’t work … I won’t go into our previous scrambles as we are all too well aware.

I think you vastly underestimate the difference in appeal of us vs. Saudi Sportswashing Machine.

The reason players like Tonali and Bruno went to Saudi Sportswashing Machine in the first place was they thought it was the next City, that money would be splashed and success would follow. That theory is now dead in water and everyone wants out.

No player is going there anymore believing they are going to part of some real success.

Just think about who they've lost in a couple of seasons: Isak, Gordon, Anderson, Almiron, Tonali and now probably Guimaraes as well. They might end up where we've been the last couple of seasons, if they don't get the recruitment right, and get some injuries. With Europe as well, I think they might struggle.

Horrible player completely undeserving of being listed with those other names.

Interesting, I've always seen him play mostly on the right. I wonder if they are just adding depth to their attacking areas. It's quite a collection of forwards but still lacking a straight out striker.

A player I would’ve liked us to sign last summer before we got Kudus.

Must be able to play both wings as paying that for a backup to Yamal would be insane.
