As I say….minimal impact to the first team (apart from Maddison I would say).

What are you even arguing? You made a comment that we were buying youth that wouldn't make an immediate impact. I pointed out we have made plenty of 'PL ready players'. Do you have an issue with our policy, or with our targets?
I’m not arguing. Somebody listed names of existing prem players we’d signed (might have been you). And I said, “like I say, no real impact on the first team” (or similar).
My original point was that we’d been a bit too youthy with our signings - think most would acknowledge that. Even the club did.
My second point after the follow up was more tongue in cheek as I realised our experienced prem signings haven’t really delivered either. But they were intended to.
Do I have a problem with our policy? I think we left ourselves very light on experience going into a season with 4 competitions. Our league position clarifies that as were unable to be competitive (even after the injuries) as we focused our main players on one competition.
As I said in my follow up. Some balance is needed. Bergval, Gray, Vilez, Vuskovic, Yang, Odobert, Philips. We’re north of £100m there which economically won’t hurt us in the long run. But none of them were intended to make an impact straight away so it left us short.
I noticed on Sky yesterday we were listed as the 4th biggest spenders over 2 years (something like £400m) and 3rd biggest net spenders (something like £200m). A lot of that has gone on youth.

I'm not sure we have, it's just our youth buys have appeared better than the ready made. If Solanke, Richarlison, Bissouma, Maddison had mostly been brilliant, I don't think you'd have that perception. Vicario, vdV, Vicario, Bentancur all pretty much settled well.
I still think they could come good. Solanke always needs a season to get used to a club; Richarlison could if he could stay fit; Bissouma and Maddison looked the players we thought they were in the EL run-in.
If we have been too youthy, it's because we have to be to jump above other teams we can't compete with the ready made.

If Thomas Frank really is the chosen one, I wonder if we could bring in Kevin Schade (23 years old German, Brentford) and Morten Hjulmand (25 years old Dane, Sporting Lisbon). Schade seems to be a winger/forward type, could be an alternative for Son, Johnson and Solanke, while Hjulmand is a defensive midfielder, could be a replacement for Bissouma. Theo Hernandez and Osimhen are both available and would probably come to us. Total fee would be around £90m( Their teams already accepted bids from Al Hilal for 30m and 60m, players rejected moves to Arabia). Many people said that top players wouldn't come to us, yet every start of transfer windows we are "busy" with something else. We would only need a top CM and we would be all set. I am sure one is or will become available.

Both players have apparently got massive ego’s. Oshimen cannot even get a move to a top club in Europe even though he has the reputation of being one of the most deadly forwards in world football and Hernandez was overhyped but never got the big move top players eventually get.
