If we're counting August, September and October as recent then ok :)

Not that your point is invalid, they've beaten Arsenal, Liverpool and Swansea at home in the last few weeks.

My bad, my excuse is that I got all the teams mixed up in my mind

That old chestnut! Next you'll be telling us that Swansea will beat Chelski in the Champions League semi final

Thinking about this QPR game, the key to victory is
1) Get a red card for Cisse, Barton, Derry or Taaraaabt
2) Pay the ref a lot of money
3) Double the ref's money

Tottenham have failed to score in three successive away league games. If they fail to net at Loftus Road, they will equal their Premier League record of four without a goal on the road.

Spurs have failed to win any of their last seven away games, their worst run since November 2007.

Mark Hughes’ side have won their last three home league games. They last won four in a row in the top-flight in December 1994.

Tottenham are the only Premier League side yet to score from a free kick situation this season (direct or indirect).

Queens Park Rangers have been shown seven red cards this season, only four teams have ever been shown more in a 20 team Premier League campaign.

Spurs have conceded a league-high 31 handballs this season.

Opta

a couple of interesting stats here. i knew our set pieces were crap but this....wtf!!.

what the fudge does conceding 31 handballs mean?

what the hell is a handball?

unless its meant to be a joke in which case haha

Anyone got the stats for games & mins per goal for our players? I'm sure a table used to be posted regularly in previous seasons?

Although saying that last year people were using that as proof that Pav needed to start more!

Since we imploded against Arsenal

Bale has a goal every 360 minutes
VdV has a goal every 263.5 minutes
Ade had a goal every 306 minutes
Defoe has a goal every 140 minutes

Well, we did actually score a goal from a free kick, against Chelsea at home. But it was wrongly ruled out for offside.

INCREDULOUS stats you mean.

How a team with so many supposed world superstars in it cant score from a free kick for a whole season is truly mind blowing

not just that we don't score from free kicks we don't even look like we think we can score.

ffs knocking it sideways 2 yards for kaboul to have a lash into row z is that really the best we can do ?

We do 33% better when Defoe is on the pitch, he is our top scorer, why the hell is he not in the team?

It is crazy , out of the cup, slipping out of the CL .

whats amazing to me is after watching the Cristiano Ronaldo video he said he practices free kicks just once a week. How in the world can one of the best players at free kicks practice them just once in a week and be soo good?

So now i'm thinking, if Bale or VDV were to practice them just 2 times a week we'd be scoring on set pieces for fun.. right?

You would have thought so. Bale and VDV were both free kick specialists before coming to us what happened to them. I remember Bale scoring a scorcher against the Scum in one of his first games for us. Since then diddly squat from him or anyone else. I think it was Berba at West Ham the last time we scored a "winning" goal from a free kick

He's not very prolific at scoring from them. He scores about 2 a year and everyone raves about them when they happen.

Berbatov's free kick was the equaliser.

If the scum lose it would be mathematically possible for us to come third if we win our last five games.

If they draw we would be 6 points behind Woolwich with 2 games in hand - so we could still come third, but we'd have a better prospect of finishing ahead of Chelsea.

It is in our own hands to finish 3rd as there is no way arsenal are going to beat Chelsea, stoke and wba away. I actually think they wont win any. They`ll beat Norwich and get two draws.

We`ve got five games to play, if we win 4, and that will not be easy, we`ll finish third.

Ben Pearce ‏ @BenPearceSpurs
Redknapp keeping cards close to his chest on injuries. Said there's 4 or 5 players who may be struggling, but didn't want to name them

I assume of the four to five players, Hudd and Bentley aren't involved either. Not great news.

If we're guessing I'd say it'll be VDV, Gallas, Lennon, Ade and King. Has Kaboul been ruled out for the season?

Nelson and either Sandro/Livermore can't do much worse then recent CB performances we've seen anyway, wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.
