***TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs Burnley OMT***

Do we want to play in a tournament that is nice to be a part of but we'll have no chance of winning if it comes at a price of Woolwich winning the league?

I know it sounds small time but I'd rather play in the furthest corners of Europe on a Thursday night in the Europa League than have Woolwich win the league. I couldn't stomach it. And I don't even live in London.

European football is boring as brick until the last 8. Then often boring after that too. Lots of dead rubbers, games to freshen up the stiffs, or playing for away draws.
I find it all dull for the most part. The most interesting games are ones where local and/or traditional rivalries are involved IMO.

Theirs is zero chance of us winning our last 3 games - and even if we did CL is still not certain. I wouldn’t fret about that bit of the equation.

I just hope Richarlison is playing or can play a part, and the injury which the Brazil coach mentioned, is being managed till the summer....
According to what I’ve read he is out again
That’s why players that have such a weak injury history can’t be brought again

he's had 30+ league appearances in every PL season of his career other than his two with us

he didn't have a weak injury history until he put a Spurs kit on

Are they stats or are they games like here where he came on late to save him from his injuries

Doubt Everton and Watford played the same intensity as we try to.

More players will be broken in this system

Here's a dilemma; Say we beat Burnley, and Villa lose against the bin dippers on Monday. Their remaining game is away against a very much in form Crystal Palace, who may well beat Villa.

That means that if we beat Burnley, City and Sheffield, we get 4th, and Arsenal win the league. Would you take it?

A little twist to it, what if Arse lose to Manure, meaning City would still be able to win the league, even with a defeat vs us. Surely everyone would take that scenario?

Honestly would rather be in the Europa than that lot winning the league, especially as a result of us helping them. Having said that, I’d be ok with us beating city provided they win today and Arsenal don’t win tomorrow. City have West Ham at home on the last day so if they can’t get over the line in that one then quite frankly they don’t deserve it. We’ll probably end up beating city and losing to Sheffield United.

I'd be tempted to play Radu and VDV in defense, and put Romero up front as a battering ram. Not joking! He's proved to be our most potent forward of late! Son on the left and Brennan to play crosses to Cuti!
COYS!

Match facts

Head-to-head
  • Spurs have won the last four meetings at home without conceding a goal.
  • Burnley are winless in 12 away games versus Spurs in all competitions since a 4-1 League Cup victory at White Hart Lane in January 1983.
Tottenham Hotspur
  • Tottenham have suffered four straight Premier League defeats – their worst run since losing six in a row in 2004.
  • Meanwhile, Ange Postecoglou could become the first Spurs manager since Ossie Ardiles in 1994 to lose five in a row in the league.
  • Postecoglou’s side have gone 13 home league matches without a clean sheet.
  • They have conceded four or more goals in four Premier League fixtures this season, only doing so more often in 2013-14.
  • Son Heung-min has five goals and three assists across his past six Premier League meetings with Burnley, scoring a hat-trick in the reverse fixture this season.
Burnley
  • Burnley were beaten for only the second time in nine matches last weekend at home to Saudi Sportswashing Machine (W2, D5).
  • The Clarets have lost all 11 games so far this season against the current top six.
  • They could become the ninth side to be relegated from the Premier League at least four times.
  • Vincent Kompany’s side have scored nine of their 39 league goals from outside the penalty area, the highest percentage of any team in the division.
  • Arijanet Muric has a save percentage of 81.3%, the best of any goalkeeper in the Premier League.

I’d go one step further and say I want Villa to win on Monday night so CL is sealed for them and we can forget about it by the time we play City.

I think Son through the center Vs Burnley should be ok. Should have some space to work in.

Lankshear should be on the bench, along with More. Hopefully they can some game time.
