Tosin & Mudryk deals with Chelsea

We just don't know how things will pan out. RDZ is a well respected coach with a style of play very much aligned with the Tottenham way. He's gotten a treasure trove of players in now, and in my opinion, we saw contours of what we're trying to achieve on the pitch against Saudi Sportswashing Machine, but it will take time.

It just seems to me that whatever it is we do you can poke a hole in it and call it a mistake. There's not a decision we could possibly have taken that wouldn't be wrong. If we hired Splurge Kharganhozen, and he were to win us the league (but we didn't know it at the time of the appointment), the outrage would be immense! The constant outcry and noise from some of our fans claiming this and that and the other is wrong and so and such is more of a problem than what the club is doing at the moment, in my opinion. We're backing a manager for once, one that is highly respected and renowned for his style of play. Let's see how it goes.

Sorry for being so long winded about it, I'm just a bit frustrated at all the complaining. :)

I get that, but who’s to say we haven’t got a list and we haven’t inquired? Gakpo seemed to be our number one target all along - that one goes haywire, as they do, Ndiaye is next on the list - he wants to join City instead of us - then we go to Mudryk - a long standing favorite of RDZ that he has worked well with before. Isn’t it possible that he was indeed quite high on the list? I’d personally much rather get Nusa, of course, but for x amount of reasons, that’s not happening.

If we had a new striker I could see Marmoush first choice left. But we don’t, we have Solanke, so really need Marmoush there for now.
 
Very disappointing from where I'm standing. Tosin never looked that good in the first place, and while I haven't seen Mudryk play or train (obviously), neither has De Zerbi. It's a shame because it completely ruins the impression left by our first deals. I don't really see what's Tosin's role in the squad. Fourth choice centre back? Maybe Mudryk will go on to prove everyone wrong but it will take a lot of time for him to be match fit and he looks like a player who could easily get injured (speedy + lack of competitive football is often a dangerous combination).

Not what I was hoping for, but I guess we'll find out if De Zerbi knew better soon enough.

we -as a collective (well, some 'we' anyway!)- bombed out a world cup winner with genuine attitude, agression, refusal to be defeated, Ariel ability and playmaking/passing abilities.
No-one will match up to that.
I wish Tosin the very best. At 6ft 5" and with decent heading ability, he does allow us some relief in that regard...

Are you serious? He is a rank average defender.

I cannot believe a player who hasn’t played for so long is high on anyone’s list
You would have no point of reference to put him there
