Thomas Frank - Head Coach

Distinct lack of cutting edge in the final third, we could move the ball better and I'm sure we'll improve but the quality isn't there at the moment. Maddison and Kulu will help but need to sort out LW and ST.

I cannot understand what people see in Tel, for me it is 40 miljon lost! To weak to hold up the ball, poor passing don't set other players in good position, cannot head the ball... I Would have played ANY of our senior players as striker before Tel! It is like playing with ten men. I really hope Thomas learns from this and doesn't start him again in the PL!

Kudus for me was great in the first half and but tired quickly in the second half.

And agree we should have made subs a lot earlier.
I would rather give Dane Scarlett a chance upfront if he was still at the club. I am not sure if he is anymore. Been focused on life.

I have told myself I need to be patient here. However if you are looking to win trophies with Frank, that is a more interesting conversation.

Yeah, I guess we always need to know where we can plateau with any manager. Before, there was always a reason to say the manager was getting dealt a bad hand with the club. We could always site reasons like budget as to why we were not performing. With Ange and Frank the level of budget and resources has gone sky high compared to the decade before that. Even more so with Frank than Ange.

We have to be patient though with Frank. Just getting access to Solanke and Kulu will be an immense next step for him. An extended period of Udogie finding fitness and form is another factor. It's early days.

And for all those that say it helps us defensively. We still conceded two against Villa. It doesn’t help enough to sacrifice attacking play.

It’s exactly my argument I had with my mates
Going defensive it being defensive and losing is horrendous
And playing such poor football too

They were two terrific goals though. Defensively we didn’t give much up yesterday really. However, it’s eyesore football and we created dingdong all too.

For the moment, it’s turgid football where a bit of luck or brilliance for one team will be decisive.

It's always my worry when employing a pragmatic manager at Spurs because the fans won't allow for this type of football for long. Sure when results are good people will always accept it, but when you go through a bad patch which at Spurs which we always will because we aren't that good you are under more pressure because you can't even fall back on entertaining fans with the football. Of course he deserves and will get time, but you can already see the fan comments in certain quarters and this during the honeymoon period to know how this will eventually go if he maintains this style.

It was the same with Jose, same with Conte and will be the same with Frank unless the style of play changes a fair bit....

If you get a chance , listen to teh glory glory pod
I listen to loads but this is one of their best for sure
And as an aside.. it really fees to me like the AVB era with one way of playing and a manager working on hope

It's short sighted for me. Arsenal have a great chance of boring thier way to the title this year. Arteta a couple years ago now realised they were never gonna out football City and decided to go another route. He would have been sacked about 15 times now if he was managing Tottenham.

I agree the football isn't great at the minute, but it's October and we're playing a couple of kids trying to get thier Duke of Edinburgh awards in the front line. If Solanke, Kulu, Muani are in the line up and we still look impotent then i'll be looking more at Frank, but right now I'm content for us to build a structure and progress. They definetly both shouldn't be starting at the same time, and I think Sarr and or Bergvall need to get in that midfield for some vertical running. Until we get someone who can function on the left hand side, we're gonna struggle.

Also I think Vic is starting to become an issue, not only are some of the goals he's conceding a bit questionable, but he's so poor with he's feet. Not the acutal execution but the delaying of it. It takes him an age to play it by which time the opposition have moved up and put us under pressure. Him speeding up moving the ball would have a knock on effect of the build up not being smothered.
