If we had beaten West Ham at home we'd have gone 16 points above them
I felt we were unlucky in that game- it could have gone either way. Whereas the games against Palace and Forest (twice) we were never really in them. Terrible when you consider what was at stake.

You have to expect the teams in the battle with us to get some points. And in West Hams case they'd be hoping to get points in a home game against the bottom team.
Exactly this. We couldn’t keep losing and expect that everyone else would too. We are where we deserve to be. And if we can’t pick up 9 or 10 points, we deserve the Championship.

Up to de Zerbi and the team now. Only they can get us out of it.

I’ve got a family (on Mr GL’s side) baptism to attend tomorrow. Pretty much all West Ham fans with a couple of Gooners thrown into the mix. I can’t wait ☹️
In fairness they are all good people and there won’t be anything above a little bit of ribbing but I’m not very good at taking that when it really matters.

If we go down it will be especially because recent results against our relegation rivals have been lost - 2 of them with the interim in charge. Bloody hell there's a lot to do to claw ourselves out of this one.
If we go down it’ll be because 1. We appointed Thomas Frank and 2. We sacked him about 3 months later than we should have.

I had and have no issue with appointing Frank
I was worried when he said he was interviewed by United and Chelsea and they didn’t want him
The bigger issue is your last sentence which is 200% right

We’ve not beaten Wolves since 2022

Hopefully we don’t join them in Championship and whomsoever gets promoted doesn’t also prove to also be a bogey team 🙏
Coventry? Na, we’d never have a bad result against them.

Memories of my brother telling me “we’ll win today, we’ve never lost an FA Cup final.”

It’s also because we appointed an interim who was even worse, failed to win in 5 and lost 2 must win games heavily at a time when teams around us started to get results. It compounded the first mistake.

I fiсkin hate Coventry. Not only tarnished our FA Cup record, but simultaneously ruined a perfectly good Monty Python sketch.

It’ll also have a huge part to do with our recruitment and wage policies over a number of years. Our owners and leadership were asleep at the footballing wheel.
