The General Transfer Rumours and Speculation Thread

I see that rooster-knocker Greyfox has had more voices in his head and invented a new bit of 'ITK' over on Spurscommunity:

"Not hearing much but just a ps on Wanyama deal apparently we enquired about MS from Utd and Mou told us to go forth and multiply"

Sky sources: Watford complete signing of Isaac Success from Granada for club record fee in the region of £12.5m.

Todays random transfer

Is it 'cos Isaac Success?

This signing cannot fail.

Because they know there are other teams in China equally as crazy but with even more money
Maybe but I think it's unlikely they'll get a better offer than that. I can't imagine there is a queue of clubs waiting to pay north of £40mil for Ighalo considering what else you get for that kind of money.
Football has gone mad.

Why oh why would you turn down such a crazy offer like that?
Maybe the player doesn't want to move to China right now so the club doesn't have to sell when they know they don't need the money and even if they had all this extra money would they be able to attract a player as good as Ighalo

The tweet does say Watford turned the offer down and not Ighalo, but as you say that may not be the full story. Personally I don't think Ighalo is all that, so for 40mil I'm pretty sure they could find a striker as good as if not better and have plenty of change left.

I think West Spam have done some good business. Nordveit is an impressive defensive mid, was at Arse as a kid and imo is a better deal and player than Xhaka who Arse have paid 34 mill for.

Quina is one of Portugals most highly rated attackers and Feghouli will offer goals from midfield.

They are building a more than decent squad.
