The Cricket Thread

This is my contention with Baz Ball as if was with Ange Ball. There's times for it. Playing to your strengths based on the actual scenario isn't haram lads
For me there have been two glaring issues

1 the lack of appetite to drop Crawley

2 the idea playing a 50 over game with the majority of our test side whilst the majority of theirs played high level shield cricket

I'm ok with the style given but the prep and lack of willingness to change players really gets my goat more.

Tbh I don't mind Crawley and as a partnership they like playing together and have a good record of building a solid opening partnership. He has experience playing in Australia with the Big Bash and when he scores he can score big.

But the preparation I just do not understand. It seems so obvious, why do they not see it that way? Our batsmen will probably become acclimatised to it by the third test or something, when it's too late. Considering so much has been geared towards this Ashes, why on earth do they focus so little on playing cricket matches in Australia before the series? It's odd and frustrating....

To an extent but there seems to be no plan B for players who are out of form. I like Crawley but he need saving from himself currently
