It’s sad about Kulusevski. Missed him all season. Expected he would be out injured until January-February but if he still isn’t close then that’s definitely a big concern.

Can’t imagine a few of them fancying plying their trade away at Hull, Blackburn and Swansea.
I think Gray and Bergvall would have e a fair bit of interest. Certainly wouldn’t need to be playing Championship footy.

Yeah, but that could be said about all of them. I don’t think we’ll sell them all. We will see, hopefully we can just sell a bunch of them without getting relegated.

I guess we got the answer whether we were crap because of Frank or because of the squad... where is the "top 8" squad everyone said was being shackled by the supposedly incompetent manager and would emerge like the phoenix once he was kicked out???

Yes, but a lot of these players aren't bad by themselves, I really believe this is a team issue. It's a silly analogy, but there have been certain individuals at places I've worked at that have simply stunk the place out - always under performing because they think they're too good or important for whatever task, coming in late, not respecting others, making quarrels, always brick talking other people, never does the boring maintenance work, wants to rebel against the boss for no good reason, fudges the guy/girl that is married etc etc. Narcissistic troublemakers. And when they are gone, it's like a collective cloud of brick has just lifted, and the entire team spirit is boosted enormously.
I'm not saying that's necessarily the case here, who the hell knows, but it very well could be.

Agree with most of that, except I dont see Solanke leaving. Who would want him in the PL unless we sell him for peanuts?
He is a classic championship striker. Also Kukusevski is either finished or he stays at least one season to prove hes still a good player and has overcome the injury.

They are under contract and probably not on huge wages. We would keep them to help get us back up.

They just aren't that good and are also a mish mash and an unbalanced group. You can get away with one of those things but not both.
If you lack quality but are well balanced, a system can plan around your weaknesses and maximize your strengths. If you have no balance but extreme quality you can ride the wave of that quality. We've seen that here quite a few times, 2012 under AVB when Bale became WC. We had no real balance but Bale almost made up for it. Spurs post Poch has been an ever degrading entity but Kane and Son kept us propped up and the cracks filled for years.
Now we just largely have mediocre players who don't even fit well together and who might like you suggest think they are better than than they are but the problem isn't them thinking that. The problem is the lack of quality they can actually transmit onto the pitch and the lack of balance this squad has. There are just so many really obvious players profile holes that have just never been addressed.
