Sloppy in defence. Kinski gifting a goal, and spence with a shoe issue and not getting back into the box in time.

Was nice to see us in possession play the ball around with some skill. Early days, and we still lose the ball too often, but at least there's more dynamic midfield buildup.

Our build up play was much better in patches than anything we've seen so far. Just need more quality at the top end to make it count.
Poor goals to give away, especially the second, can't afford to do that at Saudi Sportswashing Machine, but seems like we do it every year.

We have wasted big money on some very average players. One day we will spend our money on proven premiership quality players and not players that big clubs let go. I`m talking Byern PSG and Real to name a few. Look at Bayerns youngsters no wonder they let Tel go

Richy, Solanke (to an extent) and Johnson. All PL proven and all some of the worst transfers we've ever made. PL proven doesn't mean brick, quality is all that matters wherever they come from or what league they've played in.

Spence and Bergvall actually decent. Some nice play at times but it’s the result I just kind of expected which is really annoying

Summed up the ref, very biased to the home team all game

A performance to be fairly positive about imo. Particularly with the injuries and players being rotated out. Showing some good signs in our possession game that has very much been lacking previously this season. Building on positive movement in the Everton game imo.

Frustrating game after their second goal and two very frustrating goals to concede. Some individual errors all over the pitch, several that probably don't happen with our strongest lineup.

Were they Prem proven though?

Johnson did for Forest what he’s done for us. Puts the ball in the net quite regularly but all round game not good enough.

Richarlison - 48 in 173 for Watford and Everton in the prem. Same ratio for us. All round game not good enough for a top 6 team.

We got exactly what they were/are.

Meh, my big hope for tonight was to avoid injuries. Did we get through unscathed?

This is such a tiny cup, I'm really not bothered. We would spend more in travel etc. than the winning team gets, even if we beat NEW MNC ARS CHE to win it.

Our squad is paper thin, we really don't need these silly little extra trophies.

Classic football. Make a yellow card tackle, but do enough to cause some afters. Both players involved in the afters, but one of them also made the yellow card challenge. So both get a yellow.

Don't think I've ever seen a ref do something other than a yellow card to both, but it's stupid.

It was a scissor tackle though with no attempt to play the ball. For me should have been more than a yellow. I can understand why Kudus was angry.
