*******Spurs v PSG*******Official OMT*******

Much better. First time in a while I've enjoyed watching us, we gave a top team in Europe a real game and were it not for individual errors would have likely got something.

Well done to Frank on the setup, do feel there are easy wins for him by playing Gray and Bergvall (good to see Sarr in there again too). Hopefully can use this as a base to move forward with....

Feel like this was very much a coaching success with errors on the players, where some of our worst performances (Chelsea and Arsenal) have been coaching failures on confused players.

We do this more often, we’ll be fine. Very glad to see it. Long may it continue.

i think we can dare to be more expansive in europe, more time on the ball and slower than the epl where we more often need a double pivot for defensive protection - TF still lacks trust in the players to do that i feel, and we did look weak again at times in defense, but this was against the champions

and the arse are unfortunately the best in the epl atm

Annoyingly all of their goals were preventable. Even the first long range strike. Too big a gap in the zone in front of our box. On the second, I felt Lucas angled his run too deeply and didn’t prevent the space for the shot. These are things that hopefully can be ironed out. It’s concentration in the key moments, but again comfort with the system, the situations and what’s being asked.

Think we played well with some mistakes thrown in. Huge improvement on Sunday imo
True it was better than sunday but it bugs me that it is like rinse and repeat every game at the moment. But it is a transition season and we need to be patient. I really hope the new regime will splash the cash on some quality players instead of the bang average signings we spend good money on recently

I'm way more annoyed tonight.

I started watching with the lowest of low expectations. We didn't do as badly as I'd feared, tbh, but setting this alongside other recent results, I can say there are very few in the squad right now I'd be at all bothered about losing. Richarlison, I'd happily swap for a second-hand lava lamp in January, on the grounds it'd be both more entertaining to watch and more effective as a centre-forward.

All our signings this summer were very average. Paulinha looks ok and Muani is getting better now his injury problems are clearing up and he is getting some game time and fitness up but the rest in my opinion are looking very average players. I think that when Kulu Solanke and Maddison return there will be a few players that will not get a look in. The only player I would get back from loan would be Vuskovic All the rest who are out on I will be surprised if any of the come back and become first team regulars. I`m sure we only sign asian players for shirt sales.Does anyone think Takai or Yang will ever become first team regulars?

Someone should do a video with the xG overlaid for recent games where Villa scored 2 absolute thundercrackers with a combined xG of 0.000001, as did PSG
Said that to my mates
They didn’t like it because I’ve being use XG to highlight our lack of chance creation but we have had some screamers go against us

Note that vs Arse we had a back 5 with Bent and Palh also dropping into CB to make it a back 7, so we had everyone at CB and nobody in midfield and Arse took advantage of the gaps in midfield.

Same again tonight, we sometimes had Bent and Gray and Berg and Sarr sitting in CB positions with nobody actually engaging with the midfield. We need some players to stay IN FRONT of CB and stop players like Vitinha having 1.5 seconds to get their shots away.
