Spurs in the FA Cup 2021-22 - 5th Round: Middlesbrough (A)

Will go nice alongside our Top of the league table for a calendar year trophy under Poch:D

I have this argument with my Dipper supporting mates who claim we don't win trophies. Last season, they won nothing while we won:

Puskas award which we successfully defended
PL top scorer
PL top assists

Our trophy cabinet is bulging to the point that we can't find a place for the replica Audi Cup from 2019.

Not particularly happy with that draw to be honest. Big teams avoid each other, and Boro looked solid on Friday night. It's a long trip at a time in the season when the pressure is on and the focus should be on getting top-4.

Not the ideal draw but looking where the game falls, we play Leeds the Sat lunchtime before and then don't play til the Monday evening (Everton) after the Boro game so you could argue that we can just field our strongest 11, or close to it

(OT but looking at the fixture list, we go to Burnley on the WEd night the week before, and then play Leeds on Sat lunchtime....so 2.5 days between games. Who thinks this up?)

Going to be a very stacked quarter final list you'd think. Unlikely to be many weak teams in the quarters, and possibly just PL teams

4 away games in a row up north in 10 days.

Maybe just stay up there? Ask liverpool if we could use their training ground? We could return the favour if they ever get loads of games daan sarf.

Was hoping for a home tie against the only decent "local" team to us left in the cup, Boreham Wood.

I understand the FA are looking at changing the ko time as only trains out of Middlesbrough after the game take almost 8 hours to get back to London, the match may now be played at 03.00 so that travelling fans can get the first train out of Middlesbrough at 06.21 only a three and half hours jolly trip.
