Saudi Sportswashing Machine

The new owners really are fudging it up, this isn’t what was supposed to happen.

They should he committing a load of crime like City did.

They wouldn’t be in this position under Ashley :p

I appear to have missed this issue with them, do they have to sell to buy to comply with rules?

No. The headlines are they've made £150m losses over 3 years. Where you are only allowed £105m. But there are allowable adjustments. Academy costs. Infrastucture. Womens team etc...

One of their directors came out and said that they go close to the allowable limits, so that means going forward theymay have to sell in order to buy. Went into amortisation etc... explaining selling 1x£50m player can bring you in 5x£50m players on 5 year contracts.

They're fine. Just may sell players going forward to strengthen.

They lost more than that but have the writes offs to put them under the 105 (it was around £160m loss over the period and they spent more again)
But it’s close
Too close for them to spend without selling now

Isak would be a good addition to the squad if they are having to sell.

Saudi Sportswashing Machine also have quite a bloated squad with a massive wage bill.
