Roberto De Zerbi *OFFICIAL*

Thought Tel regularly received the ball and went at his man.....but I can see a small hesitation developing in Tel, and that's just confidence, and something like this will ebb it away.

I know he can play with full confidence, as I have seen it.

Maybe he wasn't doing other things RDZ asked of him (not forgetting he played 2 different positions the time he was on), but he wasn't hiding 🤷

Why he is picking Tel out I don’t know. But for Fúck sake keep this behind closed doors.

There isn’t a manager that I can remember that has been successful after repeatedly calling out players in front of the press/fans.

Well he wasn’t.

Tel has always come across as someone that can't be coached - his reaction yesterday isn't the first time I've seen it; it was a talk back and make excuses reaction reaction rather than an absorb and improve reaction.

Apparently he has talent, and must show something in training he doesn't on the pitch, so it looks like RDZ is trying a different way to get something out of him.

Eyes will be on him now, so he'll have to perform - maybe it's what he needs to perform?
He was brought on as an impact player to make a specific impact, and didn't do it - sometimes you just need to do what you're asked to tactically for the team and the result rather than just play your own way.
