Sounds promising, in that something is needed to lift the players out of the funk they seem to have been in and if they are feeling enthusiasm after one training session, then maybe we will get that new manager bounce we so desperately need.
Why is Nigel Kennedy our new coach?

Way back when RDZ was managing Brighton there were stories about how much players loved his training sessions. Good to see it continue.

I think he’s been a truly awful addition to the VFTL. Constantly miserable and only seeing the worst in things. I preferred the gooner Eccleshare compared to him.

Yeah, it’s ironic that (aside from Danny Kelly) the 2 best regulars on VFTL have been a Eccleshare and Pitt-Brooke. Maw is okay imho,

I can absolutely imagine some of the players telling their friends/agents that they love the sessions. From the curated minutes shared via the videos, De Zerbi certainly seems to have invaded the most important of spaces in the squad (the one between their eyebrows and hairlines) by actually wearing it on his sleeve and getting firmly involved. I liked what I saw, and I think there are going to be some clear winners in the squad (Bergvall, Gray, Romero, VdV, Porro, Sarr, Richy will all benefit hugely IMO). I think we will learn whether Djed wants to be elite or not, I think we will see if he has the patience for Udogie's injury issues to sort themselves, and as I said before, I think what happens with Solanke will be interesting as he is not a natural fit for De Zerbi IMO; we'll see. Simons? I think De Zerbi understands that type of player, can see the spike and sauce in there, and might actually see him as a Dybala-type.

I have a high sense of optimism that he will keep us up, and hey! Maybe he WILL be the man to bring us to where we want to be. But for the first time in a long time there's reasons to (sort of) be cheerful...

I’ll take his word over any reporter on mainstream TV or radio.

I fecking well cannot stand Cowlin though!

Every time I search for a player quote this failed actor / social media influencer has sodding well been spamming it onto his various platforms without ever crediting the actual journalist who conducted the interview / wrote the article.

Sandro Raniere back at the training ground to bring those good vibes 😃 Hopefully we'll be playing samba football again 🎉

Of course I’m not talking about Cowlin. I’m talking about PEH

I don't doubt that, but from that respect I could have made up the story.

I just don't think people or contacts go "he loved the training so much he called his friends and told them straight away, as did others" its an embellishment that just makes me think its a BS story.

You said something similar about Frank!

De Zerbi is known in the game for running brilliant training sessions.
I've just seen some Welbeck quotes about him and his sessions, he was very enthused.

People say those training videos mean nothing, and I agree to an extent, they aren't going to show the high detailed parts - but it still shows how he is with the players, how enthused and involved he wants to be which ties in with what players say.

It's not like the Tottenham social media team go to the manager and squad 'Can you just pretend to do some training for ten minutes so we can show that it looks like there's a happy camp here'. It's just a small low level snippet, but you can still get a feel for how the sessions go....

I reckon there are hundreds or thousands of friends/family/agents/whatever interested in how the players perceived the first sessions asking them how it went and getting replies - so perhaps not so much the players seeking to get that out there, but people wanting to know. Not that big a stretch to imagine that being the case, imo.

Having said that, we’ve all been here so many times before. Every new coach is the second coming of Christ. Let’s see how we do on the pitch. It’s nice with a bit of optimism though.

Its more how its framed and for multiple players, like either the players all told Gold in unison that they loved it all so much they couldn't wait to tell their friends OR he was contacted by more than one set of mates who said "our mate loved it so so much".

The doubt doesn't come from them enjoying it, it comes from the reporting of it where I think its been a made up back story

Anyway, no biggie hahaha just an opinion.

He seems harmless and a bit of a dork. Was very grateful for his stadium build coverage but that has seemed to have got him in a position where he thinks that he is a broadcaster.

However I admire his dedication and passion for the club. Not a favourite of mine.
Yeh I agree, the hustle and dedication to being a full time div takes some doing. As does having the same hair style from 13 years old
