Pre Season Thread

Would prefer he went out on loan, I don't think he is ready for PL yet. A German team where he is a regular starter would be better than him being mostly on the bench for us.
Yeah, that's why I was wondering if this is a sliding doors moment where he now starts Vs Brentford and cements his place.
Literally the point of my post....

Tomorrow's team will tell us who else is in real contention for Brentford. We have few options wide right so wouldn't be surprised to see a front three of Tel, Richy & Moore next week unless of course we enter the transfer market before then.

FT 3-0

- Tel worked hard all game, probably should have another assist and a goal for himself, will start next week. If he steps up from here, will be good.
- Moore had better 2nd half, 2 goals both showing good movement, winger to winger goals (haven't seen those in a season or so), likely next week starter unless someone comes in
- Bergvall working himself into side, assuming Tonali/Fernandes is first choice, can't see Gallagher getting nod over him.
- Gray had quieter game in RB, don't think the Gray/Moore combo works too well at this point. Likely will have to start a couple of early games in RB.
- Robertson looked gassed at the end, maybe him and Davies share the game next week.
- No one is going to ask why we paid that much for Tonali in 6 months

Overall thoughts, our passing, our ability to progress ball, create threats (even without best front 3) is way above last year. Squad depth feels a little thin at this point.

It would be nice to have an accurate picture of where each player is, post injury, post WC etc.

Let's hope we have options or alternative approaches for if and when Tonali can't play, as I feel a big hole will need filling when he's out.

Only small negative is there are still times we give the opponent generous amounts of space when they're in or approaching our final third.

On the train home, thought Tel, Moore and Bergvall had great games. Tonali is literally everywhere.. just does not stop running, is up and down like a train and constantly gets a toe on the ball and breaks up possession - animal of a player.

Really don’t like seeing Gray at RB, think he’s a brilliant little player and it’s not his best position. Albeit he isn’t necessarily bad there.

Always amazed to see people running on to the pitch at the end, well done kid, you got Kinskys shirt … and a ban. Maybe he lives far away and can’t get there often anyway.

Did you see the old fella try and get on and got manhandled straight after!? Idiot

Thought the stewards did a decent job of getting ha d’s on all of them pretty quick tbf, I just don’t get it. Baffles me getting yourself banned when chances are you make it twenty yards before being put on your arse.

He won’t even get to keep the shirt

I'd still loan Moore out , if we do what we want in the market and kudus is back , his minutes will be limited

Better for him to go somewhere and play

Nice. These guys passing it out from the back, Fernandes and Tonali receiving to smash it out on the wings, Kudus and Savinho/Tel (?) darting down the flanks finding Gakpo in acres of space! Boom.
