Dimitar Berbatov
Skip to 1:45 and watch Hojbjerg here
He waits and waits for the ball, then lets it roll under his foot, then gesticulates that someone else should have been there? Strange?
That's his leadership style.

Gesticulates? All he does is groan at himself for not controlling the ballSkip to 1:45 and watch Hojbjerg here

FWIW I thought he played well on Monday. No coincidence we look much better with Bentancur in the midfield next to him.
And SarrIf we could add a player of the quality of (e.g.) Brozovic and go into next season with him, Bentancur, Skipp and Hojbjerg as our central midfield options then we'd be in a very good place indeed.
PEH needs to be aware of that behavior and have it coached out of him. I don't mind if players want to point to others about where they think the ball should move to (just don't do it in our own penalty box), but there can be a point where that gets tiresome and moot.Tbf that was one of Hojbjerg's better performances recently.
But when he's playing poorly and things don't go his way he is prone to blaming others for his mistakes, eg when he misplaces a pass, and generally has a habit of giving up too easily when he loses possession.
Not exactly the kind of traits you associate with a leader in my book.
Another typical PEH standard performance today. Bentencur wasnt great either mind you, but PEH brings us nothing. Adding a decent CM who can pass the ball and support attacks would bring a big uplift in our performances
I'm sick of this guy, standing doing nothing but pointing, not even fudging looking at where he's pointing, just pointing and passing responsibility.
Played well IMO and was the main reason that we were able to dominate possession away from home against Man Utd. We ended up losing because our more attacking players couldn’t make enough of the good possession we had and Regi and Romero defended like schoolboys for Man Utd’s 2nd and 3rd goals…. But hey, it’s easier to criticise a bit of a marmite player than look at the real reasons why we didn’t come away with any points.Another typical PEH standard performance today. Think he's really starting to look better. Moving the ball a bit quicker and with more accuracy when under pressure.
Obviously not top class at that, never will be, but looking tidier, more effective.
Adjusting to a new style can take time, hopefully he'll continue to adjust.
