When will the idiots in the crowd realise the players are more likely to perform well if we create an atmosphere where they want to perform for us.

Can imagine the players almost dreading playing at home now. One mistake and we are on their backs. No wonder our home form has been so bad for so long now.

I was there yesterday and disappointed with the performance but it did not occur to me boo my team.

Another one who got plenty of abuse at games. And yes he was no Ledley King, but he was one you knew who cared about playing for the shirt....

It made no sense with Dier, he would have run through brick walls for us.

Because subbing him would mean going from having one good passer in deep areas to zero?

But he did not exhibit any good passing qualities on Saturday.. There were just endless crosses into the box which were easily dealt with by Bassy and co.

a lot were too low too. thing with porro is when his crossing game is off he is just an OK player. doesn't close down a player fast enough when defending and quite susceptible with players with a turn of pace. when he loses the ball in midfield, he doesn't rush back either.

he knew he had a bad game - was probably angry with himself. spence is better there IMO.

I said it at the time, good for Eric! I won't repeat for the 10th time my personal story of Dier defence at the City Ground when some absolute cnut was screaming filth at him...same for Davo...and Royal...the list gets long...sadly...

At times at least his passing from deep was useful to us. (Very small positive in an overall very disappointing game, I know).

Quite a lot of our attacking was based on the right and on crossing. I agree that this was one of those games where his crossing was sub par. I'm not sure Spence would have been better at crossing, perhaps Frank just hoping that Porro would find quality there at some point and that being more likely than Spence delivering quality crosses?

Interesting that it was Bergvall that Porro was seemingly arguing with...Bergvall is one of those youngsters Vic is only too happy to publicly lambast when they make an error whilst not saying boo to some others...hmm

We don’t have an old guard, everyone is a pretty recent signing.
