I would never boo any player in a Spurs shirt and think those that did are macarons. But Ghaly was ****e.

I really don't think I can remember another Spurs player who split opinion like Ghaly did, I really liked him and thought he had a bucketload of potential.

When i said ghaly was a new Souness..I had the **** taken out of my comments.....

but you can clearly see in the video what a great player he was....Thank you the so called Tottenham faithful.... pity those
who criticized him did not understand a good player when they saw one....

Thanks Mumorn, confirmed my memories of Ghaly as an average player

A few chipped passes and lots of nothing in his 20 minute highlight reel

He scored his first (besiktas?) due to a lucky deflection from the save, his second was at Chelsea when his pass was cut out and he ran onto the loose ball and his third with yet another deflection when it deflected off a Watford defender

Summed up by Pleaty with "I'd like to see Zokora on the ball more, he's got a burst of pace"!

This was always the problem with Ghaly. People would post highlight reels and say "SEE, SEE. He's clearly brilliant." The problem wasn't that he didn't have his moments it was that over 90 minutes he was completely infuriating. He's pass completion rate was atrocious, he thought he was Figo and once he'd done one good think he'd think "OK well I've done my bit."

It's patronising just to say people "did not understand a good player", the problem was the glimpses were few and far between and his attitude stank.
