I think the issue is where does PEH put his leg otherwise. It’s because Gungodan docks up his play and his leg missed the ball abs goes backwards

It's more Gundogan miss controlling and his foot going into PEH than PEH going into Gundogan

Re Hojbjerg, it is another mistake they had led to a goal but it’s a different root cause and he’s still a massive contributor for us.

Yep, PEH is in his normal running stride, he hasn’t lunged for the ball and missed, he’s been tripped.

This wasn't the only instance of Lamela dallying on the ball in a decent position.

Slightly different though: the Everton one was where their player ran off PEH’s blind side and PEH clipped him, not realizing he was there. That was a pen, albeit unfortunate.

This one I think Gundogan has tripped PEH.

You have to look at the momentum, City players right leg is coming down as he is trying to turn on the ball, Hojbjerg clatters in to him before he lands his foot.
