I was available and even not being in the first flush of youth and with a dodgy knee I reckon I would be more up for it that this lot. Total lack of fight. On paper this team is better than this but unfortunately games are not played on paper.

They always find a free man to pass to while in possession. Our pressing is so weak and we never have the conviction of actually recovering the ball. On the other side, they have full conviction that if they press hard and tough enough, they will get us in trouble and most of the time they succeed. They also have the confidence to spread their team wide, while we keep it compact because we fear giving them space. We play like a small team. A very fearful small team.

1 week of training with an injury hit squad.
