Sonny Walters
Any way of cutting and pasting some highlights?
If Pahlinha is on the pitch, that goal doesn’t happen. Problem is, he’s very very limited on the ball and we’re fudged for creativity as it is. What a fudging mess of a squad.Seems that (boyhood Tottenham fan) Roy Keane ain’t too keen on our midfield options… how we could do with a leader of his calibre to get us out of this rut…
Correct, he has to play for me as we really have no one else to protect the defence. If Pahlinha is on the pitch, that goal doesn’t happen. Problem is, he’s very very limited on the ball and we’re fudged for creativity as it is. What a fudging mess of a squad.
Bergvall loses the ball way too oftenCorrect, he has to play.
We're lacking our 3 most creative players, the ones we have available IMO are Bergvall, Tel, Xavi and Porro.
A lot on here seem to like knocking Xavi, but the only time we look like resembling any creative football is when he is on the pitch.Correct, he has to play.

This for me as well he is the only player we have who sees danger before others. I saw a stat the other day that said he has more tackles then any other M/F player in the league. And considering he has not played a lot lately shows IMO that he should be in the team more often.Correct, he has to play for me as we really have no one else to protect the defence.
Let him get the ball and give it simple to those who have more passing ability.

He does but at least he tries to beat a player or two, we need players who try to make things happen. As long as he's got someone behind him like Palhinha as cover to give him licence to get forward and try to create.Bergvall loses the ball way too often
He does create sometimes when losing it though like he did for Richy
He is the only creative spark in the squad given injuries to Kulusevski and Maddison so it makes sense. Whatever coaches reservations seem to be he needs to start all remaining games otherwise we are down (we may go down with him starting but i'd rather go down TRYING to make something happen that isn't just rolling over and accepting our fate)Here you go then

Seems that simple
But clearly some managers don’t see it that way
I think there is probably the concern that he will get pushed off the ball and bullied too easily and he is still adapting to the physicality of English football, but he runs at players, he spots a pass and he is a threat with his shooting from outside the box in the same way Son was. He loves a long range curler and so he is the only player available that would make the opposition uncomfortable when playing a lower block.Tbf I think it’s been every manager so far who’s had him available.
YepTbf I think it’s been every manager so far who’s had him available.
I think this narrative is a bit over exaggerated about Simons tbh.Tbf I think it’s been every manager so far who’s had him available.
Do any of us like our midfield options?Seems that (boyhood Tottenham fan) Roy Keane ain’t too keen on our midfield options… how we could do with a leader of his calibre to get us out of this rut…
