Unfortunately, very few players can be judged in isolation. Gallagher made a name for himself at Chelsea, with quality players around him. It's a catch-22 situation here: our midfielders can't pass the ball but our forward's runs are appalling too, which makes things even harder for them. Gallagher has been very poor since we signed him, but he did look better at Atletico. It's not all down on him, unfortunately.
We'll never know if some of them never recovered from Postecoglou's training methods, of the medical team is pants, if Frank's preparation was ridiculously bad... it's probably a mix of everything, but the sad truth is that unless we find within ourselves to beat Brighton, we will be all but relegated in a week.
