We seem to get picked up on foul throws more than a lot of other teams

Depends because while that pic as a still looks illegal given the ball is already about 2 metres away from him if it was the follow through from the launch that took his foot over the line that would probably be ok? Its where the feet are when the ball is thrown thats importantI’ve no idea if VAR can intervene if they had scored from one of those throw ins?
There's an awful negative atmosphere at the THS and i think the players find it easier to play away. Been like that for a while 2bh.We are top of the away table. What a funny season.
Agree.with all of this. You could undertand our players dreading playing at home. There's an awful negative atmosphere at the THS and i think the players find it easier to play away. Been like that for a while 2bh.
If I was an away team i'd absolutely relish playing us at home. Great pitch, great stadium, bit of pressure and home fans will start moaning and groaning and then you go for kill by pressing the home team as you see their confidence wilt infront of you as every misplaced pass gets a chorus of groans and the atmosphere flatlines. I'd absolutely love it would absolutely relish getting in the face of likes of Romero and Porro as the panic sets in.

He had his foot over the line before releasing the ball. It was so obvious throughout the game that even Alan Smith on comms said it shouldn’t be allowedDepends because while that pic as a still looks illegal given the ball is already about 2 metres away from him if it was the follow through from the launch that took his foot over the line that would probably be ok? It's every teams first seasonal target....no matter how good you think you are.Easily safe?! Is that the height of our aspirations now?
Even Smith was going on about it ffs.We seem to get picked up on foul throws more than a lot of other teams

Probably a millimetre of his boot on the lineWe seem to get picked up on foul throws more than a lot of other teams

They could I think. Seems to be they can adjudicate on any significant infringement in that played a key part to the goal being scored.I’ve no idea if VAR can intervene if they had scored from one of those throw ins?
Get sensors in players boots as well, and a red light turning on as soon as someone with the ball is in an offside position, and we wouldnt have to mute our celebrations every goddamned time we scored.
Surely it would fall into the 'clear and obvious error' envelope? They could I think. Seems to be they can adjudicate on any significant infringement in that played a key part to the goal being scored.
That said.....who the f knows anymore?!
Yeah. If we can get all line calls and who touched it last all covered by fast tech...then that will be a great leap forward.Yep, it’s so obviously the best way to fix the issues for me. Do it for ball in play at corners/goal kicks and throw ins as well. Allow assistant referees to do just that…assist the referee. Suddenly you have 6 eyes on fouls and other infringements.
Dunno, it being so marginal (we are talking millimetres here), not sure it's clear and obvious.Surely it would fall into the 'clear and obvious error' envelope?
One, It's a rule, two, it's easy to ascertain it's been missed (as there is a line to guide you), three, it's then easy for VAR to say you got that wrong even if the onfield officials say they were watching.
That's because they skyed the 2-3 sitters that fell their way. They had some great chances, but couldn't hit the target. We were lucky in that regard. They could have easily scored a couple.I can't remember Palace testing Vic tbf.
