OMT ** Tottenham Hotspur v Monaco ** 22/10/25.

NLS

Nicola Berti
Tottemham Hotspur v Monaco in the champions league.

Wednesday 22 October 2025

Kick off at 8pm and away at their place.

Hard to pick the team when there are a couple of fitness concerns but I'll give it a go.

Vicario

Porro Danso VDV Spence

Pahlinha

Bergvall Sarr

Kudus Richy Muani...

COYS.

Also, this will be my first European trip for a couple of years and am taking 'er indoors. We haven't got tickets and if anybody has got a couple going spare (unlikely) please let me know.

Also, again, I've seen on the net that you can buy tickets for a neutral zone at the ground from private sellers... Anybody with any knowledge of doing that or am I just going to get ripped off.

No idea mate. Maybe just string some garlic around your neck, put on a beret and go in the home end. Assuming their poxy ground will be half empty.

Not really relevant, but here is something to cheer you up from the past. Just look at those freekicks into the top bins.

Lets hope Eric does a repeat on any one of ours advancing into the box tomorrow. Lloris did save it.

Victor Wanyama and Eric Dier both took wild swings at the advancing Fabinho, with Dier connecting to concede a penalty.

Dier is out injured.
As is Pogba, Camara, Vanderson and a couple of other reasonably significant players. It's a new manager having to patch-up a side with players without much experience and/or out of position.
All of which gives me the fear.
Shame about Dier, sounds like our sort of game then opposition down to the bare bones , perform like heroes.

TEAM NEWS

- Cristian Romero ruled out with abductor strain ❌
- Destiny Udogie has not travelled as he has a knee irritation ❌

On his tactical set-ups

Thomas: "It's not the system, it's the guiding principles. Performances have been, overall, competitive. We need to add extra layers though."

Thomas on Brennan Johnson

Thomas: "He's a very important player. Such an important goal last season and top scorer. Started the season well here so it's down to making it fit. Brennan can play both left and right, Mo has done good on the right and on the left Wilson has done well."

Thomas on midfield balance

Thomas: "I've been happy overall. Of course we always want passes through the lines and diagonls in behind. But I'm quite happy on the whole."

6.32pm

On teams not being as expansive this season

Thomas: "Both teams didn't create massive chances [against Aston Villa], both teams tried to cancel each other out. Every team prepares so well to do that. It can be something with training time."

6.31pm

Kevin on stepping in last minute

Kevin: "I'm experienced enough now. I'll always step up when called upon when the manager needs me, I'm ready."

6.30pm

On away our form

Thomas: "Away form has been very good, we've been good in the football foundation. We have a good base and middle and low block. We're one of the most progressive teams in the final third. We need to do the same tomorrow against a very good team."

6.29pm

Destiny Udogie update

Thomas: "The latest is that he got the knee irritation. We're assessing and working hard to get on top of. We'll know more day by day."

6.28pm

Thomas on Xavi

"It's a very good player coming into a new country, new club, new city. We're all getting judged every game but we need to see the bugger perspective. There were some good bits, asking him to arrive in the box - he did. It's constantly going in the right direction."

6.22pm

Thomas on Cristian Romero's injury

It's an adductor strain, we'll assess him this week and then we'll know more.
