***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v Emirates Marketing Project, Sunday Feb 1 KO - 4.30pm***

The Cherki finish was top class. Then their second goal came as a result of an Individual error, this time a Dragu pass straight back to city from deep. It put us under pressure immediately and we couldn't recover our defensive shape while City played through us. But before that I thought we were ok.
It wasn't Dragusin's fault though. Udogie should have tried a cross-field pass to an open teammate rather than putting Dragusin in an awkward position where he had to clear it with his weaker left foot.

Agreed!

I was primarily happy for us, but also happy for him. He deserves a break, is amidst a genuine injury crisis, and has come through a tough wek unbeaten. A moment for us all to rally and enjoy.

Maybe we can add more depth and sign another attacker to replace Johnson. proud/encourage by how the attacking players are trying to step up. Simons has. He’s playing with pomp, he’s in his zone. Odobert also getting confidence from his ability.

Solanke helps with a focal point, but we are not a polished attacking unit still. The coordination between players, decisive passes to setup a shot etc are still developing. Our fullbacks and midfielders need to sync-in more in attack, our crosses are often behind players. But there’s more speed, movement and direct intent!

After lamenting the stadium this season and the negativity, I thought the fans (and Xavi) were instrumental in the come back! Maybe we need more planed walk outs 😂 It’s a curious stadium. I loved watching it being built, attended all the first games there. But it’s extreme - when it’s rocking there aren’t many stadia like it. Refs, opposition teams, even our own team, can’t handle the intensity. And then it can go eerily quiet: the contrast in volume makes it feel like noon at the ok coral. Certain games I felt the stadium atmosphere push our team too far - Chelsea game under Ange, where we didn’t need pumping up, but focus. The longer this team play there and get used to the atmosphere the more they can feed off it. Once we got a goal back, the noise energy-commitment-harmony was in full swing. Refs are sucked in. We play better with insane commitment fuelled by fans. The showman like Xavi and Odobert rise to the occasion. Those who are more shy still feel the weight of pressure.

I hope the manager is coaching them on how to vibe off (and handle) the intensity of the stadium. For a meek side it will just add pressure, but for those brave enough and ready to ride it, it can help the team massively. This side need to get over that hump and create the unity with fans at home. Maybe today was a turning point.

To the fans that turned up and supported the players today, well done.

It's not easy at the moment, but that's why we go.

Not like these guys

Dragusin didn’t need to play the pass straight down the middle, he wasn’t under pressure. Unfortunately it was a combination of him being rusty and his lack of ability with the ball at his feet.

I swear these guys fuming when we don't lose

Mitch fretton is the same, there is another one who goes on sky whose name escapes me.

Won't credit Frank with a decent week , it's all the players saving him , but at the same time want they want him out.

Let me get this straight... you are saying that a supposedly international player is unable to aimlessly hoof a ball from the penalty box to anywhere beyond the half way line because he did so with his "weaker foot".... and this was Udogie's fault??? I mean.... seriously?

And then when people argue that we are in our position because our players are not good enough, the reply is that these are internationals and it is all about Frank's tactics!

The last few months have shown me how poisonous and delusional social media makes people. I’ve seen echo chambers online of people saying we only look good when “the players go rogue” and abandon Frank’s instructions.

Like, how the fudge would any fan know that’s happened unless they have inside information? It’s just confirmation bias and then you get a few more fudgewits online saying the same thing and, hey presto, it must be a fact.

I’m not a Frank fan by any means but he deserves credit for today and for Europe.

Apologies if anyone has already posted but I see City fans absolutely ripping into Semenyo, calling all sorts of rubbish.

Haha, what? They're reaching Real Madrid levels of deluded, it seems. He scored a goal and looked fine - and has scored how many goals since he joined? Must be close to a goal a game. fudging hell.

How many games well he miss?

Makes up for him not getting a red I guess....
