Perhaps finally the players are treating every game like it is a cup final because they know what’s on the line. Igor deserves a lot of credit for achieving that. I just hope it continues on Sunday and for the rest of the season.

Some of the football we played tonight was absolutely superb
Glad I went as I enjoyed pretty much every minute of that display
We looked like a team that has been coached
Never gave up, never stopped running, gave it their all again
Atmosphere was excellent too from both sets of fans

Credit to Tudor as well for clearly getting the players motivated in what was starting to feel like an absolute quagmire of toxicity.

I'm trying to think of the last time we put in a full 90 like that. We conceded the second half goals but heads never dropped and Xavi running to retrieve the ball after his pen really summed up the attitude all night.

Have to say I do feel a bit gutted that we’re out, although the likelihood of turning it around seemed minimal.
I delayed looking at my phone this morning (time zone difference meant I couldn’t/didn’t follow what was happening) as I didn’t want the disappointment.
Clearly our focus has to be getting safe from relegation (can’t believe I’m even typing that) but the end of a European run is sad.
Having said that, from what I’m reading we played very well, and that’s very encouraging for what we have ahead of us.

I agree on one hand, but on the other the proof is in the eye-test and stats. Tudor said they weren't fit when he arrived and I didn't get it TBH. But I think he was saying it as it was.

Exactly that. All we can do is to give our best, live our life. Can’t control what others say or do. That’s true in both life and football.

I agree with @Robspur12 that it's too early to get carried away but still, credit where it's due: a) second good performance in a row and b) let's face it, we've been a laughing stock ever since Tudor arrived. If we slag off the players when they let their heads down, we also have to tip their hats to them when they turn things around when literally everything (from luck, injuries and VAR) has been going against them.

For the first time since the early days of the season, we have some momentum. It feels like we're at a crossroads now. A win against Forest and the pressure will ease significantly. A loss and that good performance against Atletico will suddenly mean a lot less.

At least, we're no longer a shambles on the pitch and it's pretty clear that whatever happens come the end of the season will happen with Tudor at the helm.

I hope we have turned a corner, but it feels a tad early to reach that conclusion especially after a win at home in the Champions League which has given us so many false dawns this season. We will hopefully carry some momentum into Sunday but I am still concerned that we seem unable to keep clean sheets and give away goals too easily. Losing games in the league has become a habit under the last 2 managers. So we will get a better idea of where we are on Sunday. Looking forward to it more than a week ago though.

It's not about thinking we've turned a corner, there's a lot of work still to do obviously. Its about the players beginning to play like we know they can.

There has been a lot of putting down of our players on here, a squad full of internationals making out like we barely have players better than those near the bottom of the league which is utter nonsense. It is all being said to suit the narrative that it wasn't the managers fault for being where we are. There are holes in the squad but at the same time it doesn't belong to a relegation battle.

For whatever reason the players didn't take to Frank, but there are positive signs that they are at least up for the fight and if they put in the running distances and effort they have of late and then we will be OK in my opinion because their quality will shine through.....
