Do we dare to dream, of course but it's a tough tough ask especially with our home form
If we can get the 1st goal and early, who knows ??
Am expecting a decent atmosphere and the crowd fully backing the team too

I’ve seen it said that we should sacrifice this match so we can be ready for the weekend. I disagree.

We are unlikely to qualify BUT I think we need to look to win to create momentum from a positive result at the weekend. If we can win tonight. If the stadium can once again be rocking, then I think we find that positivity and confidence that can help us at the weekend.

I was in 2 minds for a while. But momentum is everything in sport. Fighting relentlessly for a 1 goal win will be worth it. There's also a really long break after Forest

The beauty is that AM would also probably be happy with us winning by a goal. So everyone’s a winner (kinda) and could easily play out like that.

It doesn't matter what any fan thinks or wants, footballers and managers never have the mindset to get knocked out of competitions deliberately - it's just some fantasy scenario fans come up with when they think it would be of benefit.

I thought for all the drama surrounding the first leg, we actually played quite well. I fancy us to make it 3 decent performances in a row and have a nice bit of confidence going into the Forest game at the weekend.....

Our one big advantage is PL intensity. If we take our foot off the gas and just go through the motions then we end up in a pre-season paced game and will lose against their better players. If we treat it like a relegation scrap then I think you are right. We will probably prevail.

The interesting question is what do you do if you're Simeone. That question is in 2 areas really. Who do you select? Do you keep your big guns back on the bench and put a more physical side out? Do you switch your tactics around to concede possession and then pick the opposition of in a counter style?

We could actually see Spurs with pretty high possession stats in this one. We might even meet a parked bus.

An early goal and it could happen.
An early goal and at least it will be exciting.

There’s also a chance they will have their foot off the gas. I think the only way we could win is with 2 quick goals, so they think they are comfortable and before they have a chance to wake up.
