Holtby and Defoe seem to have a decent understanding, think thats the second or third time Holtby has assisted Defoe this season.

I'd hardly say that was a big message from Defoe, I think the commentator is going well over the top there

Villa had completely given up, it was 2 on 1 for the entire Villa half so Defoe just had to take a touch and slide it in. He did it neatly, but it wasn't really a goal during the 'proper' run of play.

Very good job by the ressies! I honestly have never been less sure our best 11. Sandro and Holtby will be unfortunate to miss out against Chelsea, Kane or Chadli won't make the bench and that's with Kaboul, Lennon and epoue out. Chirches is certainly good on the ball but takes a few more risks than we are used to seeing.

Solid 2nd half from Vlad. And that's still not even close to what he can do..You could tell that he's a bit uncomfortable because his smile was missing :) Unfair bashing for the first half though, I really hope he'll prove that wrong. Great overall game considering we've played 48 hours apart.

We were clearly the better team, but I never saw a replay for Defoe's first, was he onside? Then we pulled down someone's shorts and it wasn't a penalty.

At their ground! We are definitely getting some top 4 decisions from refs recently.

Then we score a minute later through a karate kick deflection thing and it's all over.

Happy days, it is nice to get a bit of fortune for once.
