*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur FC vs Manchester United ***

The push is dangerous play in the same way the what butt is considered to be
You can’t literally sure a player over with clear intent and then milk the head butt and get way with it

Agreed.

I think an actual headbutt on a football pitch would be a disgrace, worthy of a ten game ban minimum and lucky to not be speaking to the police.

Comparing what Bentancur did to what Shaw did though, I think it’s dumb that Bentancur’s action is considered more dangerous…it’s just not a headbutt. And he was just pushed over with force with both hands in what clearly wasn’t a play on the ball, after making a fair tackle. I can understand why the blood would be pumping and his instincts would be telling him to protect his space when someone has gotten right in front of him, AFTER pushing him over with force no less. I think there has to be more common sense applied here. There’s no way what he did was more dangerous. Either send them both off if you have to or just have double yellows and move on.

When they went 1 up and we went down to 10, you really do start to wonder if we’re cursed. Great character to come back after.

As for Gary Neville, I usually like him but he wound me up today. The Tieleman’s goal “you can’t see if it’s out”. fudging clown. You could see on the first replay that it had to be yards out. You even knew it in real time.

“Savio really has to find a Spurs player”. fudging Kudus was behind Shaw.

Annoyed me on the red too, Shaw is so far out of order.
Cursed was the first thing that went through my head, I really felt for the players after what I think was a very good performance.
And Neville, I don't normally mind him either, beats Dixon, but he wasn't good today at all.

To be fair to Neville he's watching it from high up live and not on the tv - as soon as he saw the replay he said it was miles out.

Speaking of Neville, thinking he summaries us pretty well here - talks about us from around 16:30

Wish he'd stop calling Kudus, Kudos though, annoyed me the whole game.

Firstly, I will not be fair to any member of the opposing side. He’s Man U through and through and it’s my job as a fan to call him a clam for that…

He didn’t call it out until the second replay. You could see in real time it had to be out, you could see from Archie’s reaction and you could see on the first replay it had to be out even though you couldn’t fully see the ball. I’m not suggesting Neville was deliberately trying to gaslight us but I think he was wishing for something for United and his bias got in the way of his normal common sense.

Thoughts from the game. Dominated but never threatened to score. Solanke was dire tbh and fluked a goal to gloss over how brick he was. Savio impressed, so did Gallagher. Maddison was much better than Bergvall and Tonalli when he came on.
Bueno showed how to score a goal from nothing. Something we havent got from anyone.
Cant see us beating many teams without players who score goals.

Never threatened to score??? Sorry, but you've seen the game totally different to me then. Solanke alone could've easily had a hat-trick.

I thought that was Gallagher's best game for us, thought Bergvall was really good, was glad to finally Savio and Kudus in their positions AND taking the license to drift, Udogie and Tonali really good...Solanke...look, he was fudging terrible for most of the game, but I give him credit for hanging in and then scoring with the toughest chance of the game (BTW that dirty prick was all over him too!)...sending off? It's either two reds or two yellows. Ref ballsed it up.
We are so close to clicking. I expect us to take it out on Coventry...

As I said, it's the same one as in Marseille.

It was out by two feet and Tielemans should've been booked as the whistle had long gone.

What Shaw did is far more dangerous than the “headbutt” but, in the laws of the game, it’s not a red card. I can’t recall seeing a red for pushing someone over.

It was very unnecessary though. Funny thing is, in this day and age, Bentancur’s tackle is a free kick but I thought it was a good tackle. He got the ball going full blooded for it and didn’t catch anyone. Complete overreaction from Shaw.

If you watch the reply of VH's missed tackle which set the whole thing in motion, he is complaining about that so I assume he was intent on getting some revenge!
