I called it hiding in plain sightIt looks to me as though Richy is often just going through the motions. I think Pro footballers call it 'ghosting'. Where they run in behind as they see the ball going short, go short when the see the ball going in behind. Don't really properly challenge for headers, run a tiny bit late to a player so they don't have to put in a challenge. He certainly isn't worth his place in the team at present, lucky deflected goal or not.
Regarding your comment about Udogie. I think the point is doubled down when we don't play a winger on the left. If we're going to play Spence at right back then we at least have to pair him with Odobert, otherwise the pitch becomes way too narrow when we have the ball and it is really easy for the opposition to defend that.
