*** OMT: Spurs vs Sunderland*** Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Sunday 4th January, 3pm

Today was the perfect example of how we don’t have the players, but many will attempt to blame the manager no doubt. Should have been out of sight early on - but we don’t have players who can do the basics going forward.
That front 4 are just average quality

All showed flashes of good stuff, but was mainly meh

Except RKM who needs to be sent back to Paris asap.

Whatever the result I'm not going to be too disappointed.

We set up and played well, we've just seen the limitations of what we currently have in the squad. Hopefully people are more understanding as I've seen a lot of people speak about being happy as long as the team are trying to do the right thing, regardless of results.

disappointed at result, but surprised at the booing ffs that's out of order. TF needs at least 2 full seasons to put any sort of stamp on a squad that has, in recent years in particular, been filled with mostly subpar footballers.

I think Tel and Odobert showed that of you play in the front foot they can be useful.

Second half, we definitely sat back more. I initially thought it was game management to try and hit them on the counter attack, but we just weren't pressing as much. Not even missing the tackle.

First half I can see TF should get more time, second half I can see it would be a mistake to buy him players.. they need to be club players in January.

a pity that kudus got injured

it was at best mid-table football - lots of running but nothing classy

i really feel that odobert, muani, tel should not be starting games

and palhinha on the pitch doesn't mean we are defensively better
neither is romero world class

we deserved that result, but its hard to pin it on frank with the players we have

No, Frank gets credit for today, just like he gets the blame for the brick in previous weeks. A much improved performance that deserved a win. If he continues setting the team out like that they will improve when they get into those attacking positions.

As I said

The 3 simple balls across for tap ins were fudged up

They had a 15 minute spell when there were the better side.
Give it a rest, they were the better team the whole second half, the stats prove my point.

I don't recall them having 8 shots and 3 on target in that 15 minute spell. They came out the better team, we were poor and they should have scored from the Romero fudge up aswell.

Decent first half, naff 2nd. Conceding territory and inviting pressure and paid the price.
Had quite a few opportunities to break for the 2nd goal but the common theme of picking the wrong pass, overrunning the ball or playing a bad pass reared it's ugly head.
Overall still thought we deserved to win, good goal for them though.
