Industry back on the 12th. Let's see if it goes back to being gritty rather than ridiculous

Well, I went in for the first episode of Season 4, and I'm out.
I just don't need to watch anything more about vile, despicable, power-obsessed ghouls who fuc k each other in the ar se, treat people like merde, and are generally repugnant.

Which has turned up as a literally plot line........no spoiler.

I loved the first 2 series inside the walls of Pier Point, felt more real and gritty, last season went all HBO moneywise broke them 4 walls and just went uber OTT. Casting Chubuddy G or whatever his name is as a gangster was not the genius they thought

Pendragon Cycle The Rise of Merlin. Watched the first 2 episodes. Really enjoyed them. Based on Stephen Lawheads books.
Glad to see the first couple of episodes were about Taliesen. Although I'm sure it might put off a few as they'd expect Merlin. Also some will probably not like that there is not too much action.

Also on the fantasy side watched the first couple of episodes of Knight of The Seven Kingdoms. Based on GRRM's novellas. Again really enjoyed them.

Two really good series for the next month or two to keep up with.

Its incredible. A slow burner of true quality.

I liked it but also wish there was more Breaking Bad, cartel action rather than the storyline about his brother. Lalo for example was a great character and a brilliant villain. The irony of the whole show is Saul doesn’t need to be scheming as he’s a brilliant lawyer but just can’t help himself.

Random one here. I think like I am sure many do that the Sopranos is one of if not the best ever TV Series.

In the first episode there is a famous line where Tony says “Whatever happened to Gary Cooper” and goes on a monologue about how things have changed and the worlds gone soft.

My wife and I started watching back Dawsons Creek as it’s a. Show we both watched separately as teenagers but never together. And in season 1 the Dawson starts saying

“Whatever happened to the standard Gary Cooper types? You know, likable but not too self-involved. Smart without being arrogant. I mean, come on. What happened to that guy?”

I thought to myself what a rip off but then it turns out the episode was on a year before the Sopranos aired and it’s highly likely one of the most famous lines in the show was ripped from Dawsons Creek a soppy teen drama 🤣
