not true

as soon as Palace actually accepted our bid, Eze himself called Arteta and begged him to come get him

he never wanted to play for us, it was never going to happen

He probably would have come to us if Arsenal didn't oblige as he was obviously intent on leaving Palace in that window

I respect a player who has achieved what Neville did

How did he do as a manager? Lol :D

He won everything multiple times
As a manager?

He won’t have time because he won’t last
Yes because we have fans who don't give managers time to work. Even when we get a good one.

Right now he has to worry about how many defenders to play at PSG
Lets hope the fans give the manager time, support and patience. You have to realise where we were last season, and how we are missing all our senior attackers. Take that into consideration, and honestly Frank is underrated! He needs time to configure a new team. Get players back, improve players, improve the way we play.

Exactly! The problem is this reality means you can’t have a dig at the club, so Mabspurs version will continue to be spouted as it’s fits that.

Yip. People expecting miracles.

In fairness this is the best they've been since then.
yeah all you guys who say i am a secret gooner for saying that arsenal has been playing good football for the past few years - this is your wake up call

rice is better than palhinha
trossard is better than odobert
and eze... well we are not good enough for him

every arsenal player out there is fully committed and intelligent. capable of psyching the ref with cynical fouls and pretend-injuries.

we need to understand if our wages is holding us back. pay peanuts get monkeys as they say

we didn't get to see it in all its glory today, we didn't force it sadly

but they are absolutely brilliant at so many of the dark arts, you have to respect it, thats how you win, thats modern football

I think the Xavi / Eze comparisons are a little unfair.

How do you think Eze would have looked playing in our midfield today? And conversely how would Xavi have looked playing for them in all that time and space that we afforded Eze?

Xavi will shine when we figure out how to create a functioning attacking unit.

Look Ange was not up to it in the PL. Last season showed that and this season in his albeit short time at Forest. The decision to get rid was 100% correct.

But...

That's not relevant here. It's the TF show now. Something is not right with the team. It's not just a quality issue either IMHO. There is a lack of togetherness. Xavi is looking a lot more laboured than he should; Kudus is looking like a luxury player. Richarlison is not good enough to lead the line. So that's basically our attack. We are also missing Solanke, Deki and Madders, 3 important and relatively senior players.

Today however our problems were also at the back. That defence was all over the place. They were absolutely diabolical. For at least 2 goals, Eze had to shoot through more than 1 player. There were no leaders at the back. The Arsenal players wanted it more. As did Chelsea. We are not as good as those sides but for them to want it more than the Spurs players is shameful.

But for now, TF still needs to be given the benefit of the doubt.

You don't play a back 5 with 2CDMs in front and then say he didn't want to be defensive. Every game is 2 CDMs.

To be clear, I understand that it was a defensive set up with the intention to be reactive and counter. My point was that I would assume Frank would have wanted us to offer something offensively, like in the Super Cup. The fact that we didn’t even see that is why I think there is a disconnect.

He is getting that
There are people claiming he is creating some kind of style so that for me is leaway straight away
Today in isolation would be tokerated
Getting outplayed by nearly every side at home isn’t .. and that includes wolves don’t forget
The players are clearly carrying out his plan and it’s not a plan that will win enough games

Agreed. It’s a bizarre way of talking down a clearly talented player we have signed, who so far has been playing in a system designed to bypass him.

We played an unfit PSG that day
But we also nailed the basics
Today we did for a period as we always do
But as soon as we conceded (and no deflection means that’s saved imo) meant we had no where to go tactically
That’s on him
He should have a plan for that in case plan A fails. It’s exactly what has been said about all the previous managers too

Their defenders are better than ours also. No one wants to hear it, but its true. Its the area we are closer, but thier first choice pair are better than ours. Thats just true.

No of course not. Today's performance was brick. Primarily for me because he decided to play 3 at the back, a system that 99% of the time will turn into 5 at the back exacerbated if you don't have dominant CMs (we don't).

I look at the problems because the way to improve is to fix the areas that are faulty, you can't improve if you only look at the things you think already work. They don't need work, they already work.

If you prefer to focus on what we do have imo its not much. I get that we probably disagree on that, because you rate a lot of things more highly than I do but I would counter that reality tends to line up more with my ratings then they do with yours as evidenced by our results in general over the last 5 years and days like today.

Let's agree that dialectically speaking we are both right.
I think that is fair.

I want our manager to have more attacking personality.

You must be a kid, and new to football. Most of us on here have seen us play a lot worse than that against the Goons
Haha almost 43. And of course during the match there's a tenancy to let emotions get in the way of logic.

It was awful though no doubt about it. This style of football is only OK if you're getting results. When it doesn't work it's horrendous to watch. Especially in a North London Derby. No matter how bad we were in the past we always looked up for the fight then it came to them. Didn't look that way today.

'worst creative performance in over 10 years' say no more.
