i know he is not a striker, but what im saying is that both he and Berbatov are quite close to each other centrally, they are playing as a pair

a couple of Fulham fans i know were disappointed to lose Dempsey and his goals from last season, but they couldnt believe when Berba rocked up at the Cottage. For them its a big upgrade and not something they expected knowing Dempsey was leaving.

practically no-one called Jelavic for us before he moved to Everton. he's a goal scorer, contributes less to build up than even JD.
Berba - well, many would have taken him, a lot wouldn't. he would never have come so it's hardly a straight comparison.
it's not like we had a choice between the two, like when wenger tossed it up between Jeffers and Van Nistelrooy... and came down on the side of the 'fox in the box'.
