Anyone like Lianne la havas? Remember seeing her play on Jools Holland aaggggges ago but I think she's only just released her album nowish. Reeally good. Beautiful voice and a terrific songwriter, a mixed album in terms of style but no weak songs.

Have clearly forgotten how to embed youtube videos....

Went to a local music festival yesterday. Very excited to have seen 2 acts I knew nothing about and which were both excellent live.

The first is a band called Ferocious Dog. Kind of like Mumford and sons meets the Sex Pistols on speed.

The second was an acoustic set by Gary J Armstrong. I'd strongly recommend checking some of his stuff on You Tube. His album is also free to download from his website if you like it!

The second link is about the loss of his young son - very emotional.

Don't know if it's because I don't get out much (with the kids etc...) but I'm very excited about finding stuff thats so good right on my doorstep. Hope you enjoy.

Good stuff Kadzi.

I'm really liking Angus & Julia Stone at the moment

I'm bored, here's some music.

The old Pelican stuff is really fudging great.

I've heard some Popol Vuh before (the norwegian band also has some cool stuff, though Teigen's fingers always creeps me out), but watched Aguirre - The Wrath Of GHod a couple of nights ago and it was fudging great, and this may be the best soundtrack ever.

This song is just too much sometimes, puts me in another dimension when I'm high, beautiful stuff.

Sweet! That was a good song, I'll check these guys out.

Bought this bastard a couple of years ago, the price now is ridiculous. http://www.amazon.com/Fuzz-Flowers-Revisited-Vernon-Joynson/dp/1899855181/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1345509001&sr=1-1&keywords=fuzz+acid+and+flowers

Would love to see these guys sometime, hopefully next year. A bit different type of psychedelia, but really good stuff.

Liking that, can see similarities with Tame Impala.

Been giving Euros Child a whirl lately.

Been listening to the new Bloc Party album 'Four' recently. They are a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine. New album is a little heavier than previous albums but a couple of stand out pop tracks

I'll accept it doesn't really qualify as "m(usic)" but I just read that the lead singer of Nickelback and Avril Lavigne are getting married.

Weirdest couple combo ever.

Keeping on my Swedish theme, these guys will soon be realeasing a new record, their first in five years I think. Saw these playing live in the forest almost on the Swedish border, brilliant stuff.

This band will also release a new album later this year. The last one, 'Hisingen Blues', was just faboulous and hopefully the new one will be just as good.

This is just a bonus for everybody who hasn't seen it, the one and only Tangerine Dream live at Coventry Cathedral. German electronics at it's best.

She's previously been married to the singer from Sum 41 and has a tattoo with the name of Brody Jenner (Kim Kardashian's step brother) beneath one of her breasts.

All this valuable info courtesy of Daily Mail.

Just found out Two Door Cinema Club have a new album about to come out, giving it a listen now.
