Clever people say that it is now obvious to look back and see that Stephen King was a raging alcoholic at one point, then an absolute coke fiend and then sober, but I read all of his books when I was a teen so I didn't know anything about all that.

Some of them like The Stand and the Dark Tower were verrrrrrrrrry long to get through.
I forget a lot of the details... I seem to remember that IT was all about a clown but suddenly was about a huge spider under the town and I remember thinking what the fkkkk mate I've just read hundreds of pages to get to this rubbish, but everyone else seems to like it.

I really liked the films of Cujo and Christine when I was younger. More than Carrie and The Dead Zone and Firestarter.

I see Wuthering Heights is getting a pasting from some critics because it doesn't faithfully follow the book. The filmmaker Fennel said, it was her adaptation! I found it very enjoyable in
an OTT theatrical way (my wife liked it a lot too!!!)

That's why it is called "Wuthering Heights" with speech marks. People are dumb.

I've seen the Olivier and the Dalton ones and felt they pretty much hit the mark, so I can't say its a story i feel particularly needs another remake. Casting a white actor for a Romani character feels pretty unforgivable in this age

Secret Agent is very good. A complex grown-up film about the cheapness of life and the richness of life

I slightly preferred last year's I'm Still Here, but both are exceptional

I think one thing it forces a bit of focus on is the 'class war' which forever divides people. Again, it is her take on the story and is not by design meant to be a faithful retelling.

Watched Just Mercy on the iPlayer on Sunday evening....very good.

Always hits harder when it's based on true events.
I mean....let's just death row people because we don't like their type. Ffs.
