Next seasons squad

A high functioning team under RDZ will perform better with Solanke up top. Long term I’d replace both. But this summer it’s time to move on from Richarlison who I beleive has 1 year left on his deal.

So this is the WC list

Cristian Romero - Argentina
Kevin Danso - Austria
Luka Vuskovic - Croatia
Djed Spence - England
Pape Matar Sarr - Senegal
Pedro Porro - Spain
Lucas Bergvall - Sweden
Micky van de Ven - The Netherlands
Rodrigo Bentancur - Uruguay

So pre-season starts without these 9 players and 2 or 3 of these teams are fancied to be in the latter stages. Then you look closely and you see that it's 4 centre halves, 2 RBs and 3 centre mids. I know we're looking at Senesi and Robbo but that clearly means there's opportunities for some younger defensive minded players to impress RDZ. Great opportunities for guys like Byfield, Abbott and not forgetting a chance for Gray to really get to showcase his talents.

I always enjoy the preseasons with the internationals turning up later.

Said it before

Kinsky, Udogie, Senesi, Phillips, Takei, Byfield, Gray, Palhinha (?), Maddison, Moore, Tel, Kudus, Savinho, Solanke, Richi. Lankshear, Williams-Barnett is a pretty decent preseason squad for RDZ

Add in, potentially 11 of those are first team players who will not have the extra milage and lack of break due to WC, should help us walking into a season that will already have less games due to no Europe.

Add in Robertson as well.

List below, big issues

Too many CBs - Romero, VDV, Danso, Dragusin, Vuskovic, Senesi, Phillips, Takai, Dorrington, Byfield
Not enough HG
Too many loan payers with no real plan to be integrated into 1st team - Solomon, Scarlett, Yang, Devine, Phillips, Donley, Hall, Moore, Lankshear

Some sales to do.

Odobert will be HG in the Prem moving forward. His year at Burnley counts. In UEFA comps it won’t though.
