apparently Real are prepared to sell Ozil according to German paper Bild.....

linked with Utd, but dont see them buying him

he will want first team football what with it being world cup year

much rather 40 mill on this guy rather than 30 mill on Willian

With Gareth Bale’s move to Real Madrid seemingly imminent, ‘Los Blancos’ have realised they have way too many attacking midfielders.

Madrid will also be hoping to make back some of the reported £85m fee necessary to bring in Tottenham’s Gareth Bale.

German newspaper Bild are reporting Real Madrid’s star German Mesut Ozil is available for sale and Manchester United are interested.

David Moyes has attempted to sign a central midfielder but has had no luck thus far this summer and could now move in for Mesut Ozil.

Bild report that Ozil wants to leave to secure first team football in a World Cup year and the 24 year old would be allowed to leave for £38m.

With the likes of Bale, Ronaldo, Isco, Di Maria and even Jese Rodriguez competing for only 3 positions, Ozil sees his future elsewhere.

15 goals and 29 assists last season, Ozil is a player any manager would love to have in their team.

If only we had leverage? :-k

Levy should insist that Ozil is part of the Bale transfer now that the Willian deal appears to be dead.

Why not just go for Messi or Ronaldo?

ZERO chance

Got to agree. Would love him at Spurs. Not going to happen.

In three years time, after we've won the premiership and reached the Champions League final with a new stadium about to be unveiled... Ozil will be 27, right in his prime. At that point, we might have a realistic chance of attracting him to Spurs.

Lets be honest, he wouldn't come near us.

of course

but if he is told he is no longer wanted at Real, what does he do....kick his heels on the bench, or go somewhere where he is wanted and first choice

so, who out there needs and would buy Ozil?

Contrary to the opinion of others, I could see him being bought by Moyes.

why not?

I think Willian would all be but forgotten if we got urrrrrzil ... but it wont, so lets just sit here laugh at ourselves and brood at the same time. Lets.

If they're really selling him then we should make it a condition of the Bale deal. WE need a top class replacement for Bale, so now that Willian looks like going elsewhere and time is running out, I'm not sure that many other options are feasible
