Who knows what Bergvall would have looked like playing every week at Southampton and West Ham rather than a bit part role here in that time. The only manager that played him consistently was Ange and he got player of the season.

I think he is the best deep lying midfielder that we had any chance of getting (and I thought that the chance was very low).

Equally I think that Tonali is the best central misfield partner that we could bring in for him in a double pivot (again initially thinking the chances were very low).

This is a new THFC that seem to be serious about building the best possible team for the manager and getting the players in as early as possible to give the best possible chance of success as opposed to the false economy of trying to save a few quid on the transfer fee and wages.
