I think the club would rather announce towards the very end of the window, so you don't get all the whining twitter bitches spewing their brick if we announced moura early and then not announced a late signing on deadline day. Its like we need to have a late signing to validate our transfer window, so just saving him for later, I reckon.

I don't think Levy cares about that, remember the time they closed up the training ground and sent everyone home at 19:00.

You're right, it doesn't really make sense. But they've done this before, signed people early in the day, photo with shirt in daylight, only to announce close to midnight, for whatever reason. Maybe not to distract from the match.

Making the announcement earlier in the day would probably interfere with the match less.

Sometimes there is a reason to make the announcement to match the news cycle in other time zones, although I can't see this being relevant here.

Thats true, could very well be that.
 
Imagine the meltdown if it falls through (I will be as guilty as the rest) Levy would not be able to show up to a home game for a while.
