I am not the biggest Bergvall fan and do not see the hype with him. But I'm also not a professional scout or manager so obviously I am wrong when multiple managers keep praising him. For Spurs sake, I hope he turns into the player these managers keep believing he can be but so far we have not see it.
The start of this season has been dreadful, especially for a player who is needed and was given a big chance to stake his claim in midfield.
I'm not talking about finances, the numbers in the sport are outrageous. Good for Bergvall getting paid, I'm all for people earning money to support themselves and family.
The reason I would judge Bergvall harder (Same with Tel, Richy, Gallagher and a few I'm sure I am missing) is he had plenty of time off to recover, is not coming back from a long injury and you would expect him to be one of the better players in those first few games. Instead he was possibly the worst player for us in both games.
I agree, the rest of the players have not been too great either but they at least have a small excuse for a few games (new to the team, injury issues).
